Is This You?
Perimenopause is the 7-10 years before your period stops, and it looks different for every woman.
For some, it starts quietly:
- cycles shortening
- sleep fragmenting
- waking at 3am for no reason
- irritability or anxiety that feels
out of character
Easy to chalk up to stress. Easy to miss entirely.
For others, it builds into something impossible to ignore:
- brain fog
- skipped periods
- hot flashes
- drenching night sweats
- joint pain that seems to
come from nowhere
Symptoms that no longer happen in isolation, but feed into each other in a relentless domino effect — until you're completely underwater.
Whether you're just starting to wonder,
deep in the thick of it, or already navigating treatment — if perimenopause is affecting your quality of life, you deserve support that actually helps.
The Reality is...
The system
wasn't built for this.
That's not your fault. And it's not your doctor's either.

Clinicians never got the training.
Only 31% of OB/GYN residency programs have any formal menopause curriculum — and of those, 71% offer just two lectures across four years of training.
Women never got the whole truth.
For decades, women were excluded from clinical trials entirely. Then a misinterpreted 2002 study scared doctors away from HRT (also known as MHT, or Menopausal Hormone Therapy) — leaving generations of women without safe, effective treatment that could have changed everything.
Symptoms are still being misdiagnosed.
Or dismissed entirely.
Nearly 40% of women report being misdiagnosed — treated for anxiety, depression, or panic attacks when hormones were the real issue. Or told it was just stress. Just aging. Just life.
Women aren't getting answers.
60% of symptomatic women seek help. 75% leave without treatment — bounced between specialists, told their tests are normal, their symptoms chalked up to stress or aging.
Specialists are scarce — and hard to reach.
The average wait to see a menopause specialist is 4–6 months. And in many communities there are no specialists at all. Leaving women to suffer indefinitely.
And when the system falls short, women pay.
Not just out of pocket — in time, energy, relationships, and quality of life. The financial cost is real, but it's the smallest part of what perimenopause costs a woman when she can't get the support she needs.

But Things Are Changing...
More women than ever know what perimenopause is.
The science is being corrected. The stigma is lifting. And a growing chorus of voices — doctors, creators, and women sharing their stories — is making sure no one has to figure this out in silence anymore.
The black box warning is gone.
The FDA removed it from HRT in February 2026 — a landmark step toward making safe, effective treatment accessible to more women.
The WHI study has finally been re-interpreted.
The 2002 study that scared doctors away from HRT (MHT specifically) for two decades was never designed to test hormone therapy for women in perimenopause. Its findings were misapplied — and the harm it caused was far reaching. The remedy is long overdue.
HRT does more than relieve symptoms.
It's now understood to protect bone, brain, and heart health — preventing disease, not just managing discomfort. That changes everything about the conversation.
Training is improving.
The Menopause Society is pushing for better clinical education. A new generation of providers is learning what previous ones never did.
Access is expanding.
Telehealth platforms are making specialized perimenopause care more reachable than ever — no months-long wait, no geographic barriers, no fighting for a referral.
The research is accelerating.
New studies on women's hormonal health are emerging faster than ever — filling decades of gaps left by a system that treated the male body as the default.
Today, more women have access to information, resources, and better care — and still, knowing about perimenopause and actually navigating yours are two completely different things.
That's where My Peri Pal comes in, to give you what the system can't — the personalized navigational support in between.

- Finally make sense of what's happening in your body.
- Turn everything you're learning into a plan that actually works for you.
- Show up to every appointment prepared, confident, and heard.
Perimenopause sneaks up on you...
I had no idea this was coming.
At 40 I still felt like me, but at 50 I don't recognize myself anymore. I owe apologies to every woman I quietly judged before I understood what this felt like from the inside.
I snapped at my kids over nothing.
Screamed at my husband over something I would have just laughed off two years ago. My reactions were so disproportionate, completely not like me, and yet... I couldn't stop them. I thought I was losing my mind. Turns out I was losing estrogen.
I stopped socializing.
Not because I stopped caring. Because my nervous system couldn't handle it anymore. I used to be the one who brought everyone together.
One minute I'm fine. The next? It's all upside-down.
One week I feel almost normal. The next I'm a completely different person. I never know which version of me is going to show up, and neither does anyone around me.
I was sure it was ADHD or dementia
I genuinely thought I was developing ADHD. Or early onset dementia. Turns out it was hormones all along. I just wish someone had connected those dots for me sooner.
Starting HRT was only just the beginning.
I'm on HRT and grateful for it.
But nobody told me getting the dosing right would feel like its own full-time job, and I'm still figuring it out mostly alone.
I'm not even sure who I am anymore.
I had finally figured out who I was.
Then perimenopause showed up and started dismantling her. The brain fog. The anxiety. The confidence disappearing piece by piece. I didn't even see it happening until the woman I fought so hard to become was already half gone. I was terrified I'd never see her again.
I thought the changes were all my fault.
The rapid weight gain. Crippling fatigue. Brain fog. - I blamed myself. Felt so ashamed, like somehow I deserved this. Nobody told me I was in 'The Zone of Chaos' as Dr. Mary Claire Haver calls it, that my hormones were in free-fall and fluctuating wildly. I had to figure it out all on my own. It was never my fault. And it's not your fault either. We all deserve better.
I know all about Peri now, and yet, nothing at all.
I've watched hundreds of videos. I follow all the right creators. I know more than I ever imagined I'd need to know about perimenopause... And I'm still completely overwhelmed, because none of it tells me what to do about my specific situation.
So, what exactly is a Peri Pal?
The thinking partner, peer companion, and navigational guide every woman deserves but almost no one has.

Not a doctor. Not an app.
A real woman, a few steps ahead.
Hi, I'm Kellie — your Peri Pal. As a 50-year-old woman in Fort Collins, Colorado navigating late-stage perimenopause myself, I spent years figuring things out the hard way. Researching, tracking, advocating, connecting all the dots — until I finally started feeling like myself again. I'm building My Peri Pal to make sure you don't have to take that road alone.
Think of a Peri Pal as a doula for your perimenopause journey — care that unfolds over time, creating space to slow down, ask the right questions, and better understand what your body is communicating as this transition progresses.
I help track your patterns, prepare you for appointments, and ensure your voice is heard — all while making sure you never feel alone in between.
how It Works
Your experience, clearly organized. Your voice, finally heard.
Every woman's perimenopause is uniquely different.
So I start by getting to know the contours of yours — your symptoms, your history, your lifestyle, what you've already tried, who you're working with, and what you most need right now. Then we build from there.
What we do together:
What that means for you:
Daily asynchronous check-ins via quick voice memo or text between sessions — the good days, the bad days, the weird symptom at 3pm on a Tuesday.
Nothing slips through the cracks. The full picture, captured — so the real story of what’s happening finally has somewhere to land.
Symptom tracking across your cycle, sleep, mood, HRT, diet, movement, and medications — all in one place.
Patterns emerge that were invisible before. You stop feeling like a mystery to yourself — and start having real answers.
Connecting the dots across everything — from brain fog to joint pain to mood swings to HRT response.
You stop feeling like you’re chasing symptoms and start feeling like someone who finally understands what’s going on.
Appointment prep — all that day-to-day data synthesized into a clear, consolidated report your doctor, NP, fitness coach, or dietician can actually use.
You walk in prepared, confident, and heard. Not just “I’ve been feeling off.” The whole story, organized — so everyone on your care team can do their job better.
Resources curated for your specific situation — not a Google rabbit hole.
The right information, in the format that works for your brain, right when you need it. No overwhelm. No rabbit holes.

FAQs
Answers to common questions about My Peri Pal’s peer support and navigation services for women in perimenopause.
What exactly IS a Peri Pal?
A peer support and navigation guide — a real woman who has navigated perimenopause herself and now helps others do the same. Not a doctor. Not a coach. Someone who gets it, right now, from the inside.
Are you a medical professional?
No — and that's the point. I work alongside your healthcare team, never in place of it. You keep your doctor. I help you get more out of every appointment.
How is this different from seeing my doctor?
Your doctor can diagnose and prescribe — but the system only gives them so much time. I help you use that time well: arriving prepared, knowing what to ask, advocating effectively for what you need.
I'm not sure I'm even in perimenopause — can you still help?
Yes. The woman who isn’t sure yet is exactly who My Peri Pal was built for. If something feels off and nobody’s connected the dots, let’s figure it out together.
Here’s what the latest research actually says: any symptom that’s impacting your quality of life is worth taking seriously — there are no specific criteria you have to meet to deserve support.
Is this recognized by the medical community?
Yes — the non-prescribing, supportive nature of the Peri Pal role aligns with what leading medical organizations advocate. Menopause Doulas and Peri Pals are increasingly recognized as a complementary member of a client's healthcare team.
What does it cost?
$350 for 8 weeks — an intro rate reserved for the first women through the door. Once this summer's spots are filled, this rate is gone.
A Compatibility Call is always free. If cost is a barrier, reach out — I’m committed to making this accessible.
Feeling on the fence?
A free 20-minute Compatibility Call is the lowest-stakes thing you can do for yourself right now. We'll talk about what's been happening, how I can help, and see whether My Peri Pal feels like the right fit.
Pay it forward.
Not every woman who needs a Peri Pal can afford one.
That's something I'm committed to changing — one sponsored spot at a time. If you believe in this mission and want to help make sure cost is never the reason a woman goes without support, there are several ways to get involved — from sponsoring a full summer spot to contributing whatever feels right.
